The place is famous in blooming of the most beautiful flower in the world named ‘Neelakurinji’. The flower only blooms once in every 12 years. In 2006, the place witnessed the crowd of both domestic and international tourist to see the magical and gorgeous flowers. Now we have to wait till 2018, to watch the same crowd,to see the blooming of the gorgeous flowers after long 12 years. Eravikulam National Park and the Nilgiri Tahr is the icon of the tourism in the place.
